Question: Before moving away to college, Lisa is warned about the high cost of parking tickets close to campus. To determine the validity of the warning, Lisa asks ten other students at registration how long they have been a student and how much they paid last year in parking tickets. Following is the data:

a) Compute Pearson’s correlation coefficient for this data.

b) Test the significance of the obtained correlation (use α = .05). (Question # 2 below requires use of table C in Appendix C of the text)

c) Based on your results, write a paragraph or two as to whether you feel Lisa should drive to school or take a bus and why?
